How To Get Better At Webinars

Hey, this is Jamie McKean from Technology for Coaches and in today’s video I’m going to give you three tips on how to get better at webinars, even if you really don’t enjoy technology, but you know that you need webinars as part of your business.

So, let’s get into it.

Three Steps..Three Tips For You…

Tip #1: Practice.

You might not know how to use webinars, but get it set up, set up a test one, invite your friends and just start to use it. Don’t try and use a webinar for the first time – whether you’re using Go To Webinar or Instant TeleSeminar, whichever one’s of those that you’re wanting to use, don’t use it brand new for the first time on a webinar with live audience; practice first.
So, tip number one is practice.

Tip #2: For you with webinars is, have two screens.

So, when you’re delivering a webinar, have your machine, your main machine to be able to see your slides that you’re talking on the webinar, and have a second screen as well so that you can see it in presenter mode. That’s going to make it a lot easier for you, especially if you’re delivering a presentation using slides, whether it’s Power Point or Key Notes, but the best tip is to have two screens to make it a lot more comfortable for delivery.

Tip #3: You really don’t like technology, but you know you want to do webinars.

There are services out there to be your tech-jockey, so to speak, to have someone else do all the technology for you. One that I know people use and rave over is something called Webinar Wizards and you can find out more by e-mailing them at [email protected], and they’ll be able to supply someone to help you for your webinars, to press all the buttons, to make sure that you can press record, just so you don’t have to worry about it, and then you can focus on delivering a great webinar.

So there’s the three tips:

  1. Practice
  2. Two Screens
  3. Getting help if you need it
